I've been watching "9 By Design" on Bravo tv pretty much every Tuesday night since it premiered and I am soooo in love with Cortney & Robert's kitchen! Seriously, they have my dream kitchen, all white, built-in automatic coffee maker, gorgeous wood floors (or are they??) and cool dining table & chairs. For those of YOU who don't know these two, (rob & cortney), they're the famous husband & wife design team known as Sixx Design. Apartment Therapy's the Kitchn featured their kitchen yesterday & I wanted to share a few of the shots with you.
Does anyone know where their kitchen floor is from and is it hardwood or eco/engineered???!?!?
For the interview & the full set of pics go here.

OMG! That tortoiseshell cutlery is unbelievable! I wonder where they got them from!? What a beautiful home, incredible chairs and table. I'm off to google tortoiseshell cutlery...
ReplyDeleteOhh..that kitchen is a dream! I love the floor! So beautiful and I love the designers!
ReplyDeleteThey are the best...Aren’t they?
Btw: Those cupcakes in the other post! Yummy...I could live on cupcake!
Kisses and have a great day!
Brilliant post...... it's all gorgeous and I'm hoping I can do an affordable version. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I LOVE that big table with the handy drawers, not to even speak of the built in coffee maker, oh dear!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like zebrawood flooring it comes in hardwood and laminate.
ReplyDeleteIm loving the mix of the concrete table with those amazing chairs in the dining room, oh and also the highchair in the background, helps me feel like thery're real!
ReplyDeleteI am also stuck on this show! I watched last night and kept thinking about those fabulous chairs at the table, wondering (as the mustard and ketchup was thrown around) what they are covered with! Have no idea about the floors, I suspect it is an engineered or laminate product, to stand up to the wear.

I've been watching them too! I adore their kitchen. That table is fantastic but with 7 kids you need something that withstand all of them. Their style is so fun and funky but I have to say the roof part scares me with the kids. Thank God the door was locked on last nights show because Five is a little terror!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had cable so I could watch this show! I love that long dining room table doubling as a desk.
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on this show...they are awesome and their style is awesome too! Thanks for posting these pics. The intro of the show features some of their work and I've been wanting to find those pictures too!
ReplyDeletei looooove that table!
ReplyDeletei love this family - i could never have 7 kids, but i so admire them and their design. about the floors - just at them @SIXXDESIGN or http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/9ByDesign
ReplyDeletei know! i die for that kitchen table!!! and i have a major girl crush on Cortney :)
ReplyDeleteIm totally guessing but I think would think its a real wood floor (some kind of exotic obviously). You can twitter them and ask. They might give you an answer.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is I love their dining room table. Im sure it was custom made for them and costs a fortune but I so want it!!
love this kitchen. its definitely my favorite part of their house.

stunning kitchen! love the table and chairs!!
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen is a bit cluttered for my taste, but I love the overall feel, and that dining space is to DIE for! I could see you very easily pulling off a look like this with the dining furniture you already have. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Zebra wood. What a great show! They have my dream gig!

ReplyDeleteISABELLA AND MAX:
ReplyDeleteThe chairs are actually covered in a white pleather.....smart. :)
They are super cute!
JULIE:
ReplyDeleteaaaah yes! I think you are right, they may just be zebrawood. They are so BEAUTIFUL.
BROOKLYN LIMESTONE:
ReplyDeleteI believe they said the table was an old desk of some sort....they did however restore the chairs a bit. :) I am very much with you, i want that dining set. I may just try something similar with my table in the near future who knows!
I love them, their designs, and most especially their design philosophy. I have also written two posts regarding them. In fact, I purchased their book, which I do not often do in this area, and it was well worth the money.

I've been dying to watch this show...I can never seem to catch it when it's on. I need a night where I can catch up on episodes online :)!
ReplyDeleteGreat kitchen,I love the table,

I thought I would love the show too, because their style is right up my ally, but it was no fun watching a tired mom spread too thin because of a too over scheduled life. If I wanted to watch that I would watch a home movie of my life.
ReplyDeleteOh I swoon for that dining table! So heavenly... and practical... and versatile.. and, and...
ReplyDeleteI love that kitchen! So open and airy!
