Reinvention, NOT Restoration

This is some creative upholstery.... but before these Victorian pieces were bright and cheery, they were worn down and some even torn. The antique furniture was bought on Craigslist, believe it or not. The pieces were then re-invented by NYC based company, (Custom Design Studio) when they refinished the dark wood frames in vivid colors and replaced the upholstery with bold patterned fabrics. I love it! Read more about the process on the Home Magazine website.

Kara Mann Designs

Her designs are pretty & edgy. Here are some images from her sexy website. She has great taste and I'd recommend checking her stuff out. I really loved the guitar against the wall, I also have one in my place like that. More on her designs at: Kara Mann.

Really Cool Wall Decor

Here are some images I got from Living Etc. Magazine Online. So essential to have some really cool art, mirrors or just a neat looking steerskull hanging on your wall. Whatever your preference may be, decorating your walls with interesting and unique pieces is always fun. Makes quite a statement in everyone of these pics don't you think? My favorite is the bronze- looking steerskull, of course. What interesting piece do you have on your wall??

Rockstar Pad

Rock n' Roll Edwardian Mansion in London of course. Jezebel lives here and is married to one of the band members from ColdPlay. No wonder this pad is so sexy! I just LOVE their style and that large skull pic above the fireplace is quite unique. Takes guts to put that pic up there. Anyway, this is very Rock n Roll, much like my own coffee table designs: madebygirl. These pretty pics were pulled from one of my favorite sites: Living Etc. Unfortunately, this is the only size pics they had on the site.

Kelly Wearstler is my top pick Designer!

I LOVE her designs and have even been around them, such as the ViceRoy hotel in Santa Monica. I remember walking in there and seeing this lobby and was so impressed. She isn't afraid to use colors and has lots of fun doing it i'm sure. She has her own style and I enjoy every bit of it. I'd to get her newest book "Modern Glamour- The Art of Unexpected Style" - i skimmed through it today while at the bookstore and many of the pics on her site are in the book. Its an amazing site too: Kelly Wearstler. Its a pleasure to post some of her work here.

Oh, so Beautiful Designs!

From Beverly Hills, O Interior Design Inc. is headed by 5 talented ladies. They work hard and it shows. I love these residential projects i posted here. I ALSO have a 'steerskull with horns' above my fireplace, although the one in their design is just the horns, it still looks cool. I'm moving my steer to my other livingroom to make room for a fancy mirror, can't wait. I love the looks in all the pics, lovely job! You can see more of their work at: O Interior design.

EDGY

Zilon is a painter and a musician. He has been Montreal's angry Punk street artist for more than 25 years. His work is quite interesting and I wanted to share some of my favorites here. I discovered his art when I visted Desire to Inspire Blog and noticed Kim's new bathroom decor. There on the wall was the Dior Addict piece by Zilon. You can see much more of his work on his site Zilon Sonic. Very Rock n' Roll and i LOVE rock n roll!
