My goodness! Did you all catch the last episode of "9 By Design" this past Tuesday on Bravo tv? I'm always so impressed by their work. I like how Robert told his son (when they were hanging the tag sale sign) to place it SIDEWAYS so people would take notice. Then he said something like, " that's how we do things at Sixx Design. Meaning, they aren't like everyone else & they do things differently! YES, they do.
I admire how they take risks and how courageous they are! Good for them! For those of you that did NOT get to see the episode, (for whatever reason), maybe you just don't have Bravo tv, below are the pics of the Bungalow Hotel in New Jersey they designed. Lovin' it!
I've been watching "9 By Design" on Bravo tv pretty much every Tuesday night since it premiered and I am soooo in love with Cortney & Robert's kitchen! Seriously, they have my dream kitchen, all white, built-in automatic coffee maker, gorgeous wood floors (or are they??) and cool dining table & chairs. For those of YOU who don't know these two, (rob & cortney), they're the famous husband & wife design team known as Sixx Design.Apartment Therapy's the Kitchnfeatured their kitchen yesterday & I wanted to share a few of the shots with you.
Does anyone know where their kitchen floor is from and is it hardwood or eco/engineered???!?!?
I know I've blogged about Sixx Design's husband & wife team before... but I wanted to direct you to this recent interview they did for New York Social Diary. In the interview they highlight the art & furniture pieces throughout their home and even talk about how much they paid for their current townhouse in NY. I can definitely see Cortney & Robert heading straight to the top & being a household name very soon! For more pics & to read the interview go to New York Social Diaryfor more.
Sixx Design, we all know them right? I hear they have a reality show in the works with Bravo....I will be the first to say, I'll be watching it! Sixx Design is such a cute duo, kind of like the Bonnie & Clyde of the design world (and I mean that in a good way). Here are some samples of their talent....enjoy!
Yesterday was such a cool mailbox day! Thanks to Cristina for sending 'Downtown Chic' my way! This book is great! It's about a couple with 6 kids, who run a design firm called' Sixx Design'. They began their work more than 10 years ago by renovating old fixer-uppers in New York City (mainly Chelsea area). They had no idea this would lead to their extremely successful business, Sixx Design. I adore their style & their affinity to find amazing pieces of artwork. I highly recommend their book, 'Downtown Chic, if you love interiors & design as much as I do!
Here's agreat videoon the couple explaining how they buy art.
