Shop Highlight: Maude Woods

Pasadena California has a beautiful shop called Maude Woods that I'd love to visit someday! Shop owner Carrie Davich carries a mixture of upscale items to vintage & renovated second-hand pieces.

It's a shame we don't have stores like this here in LAS VEGAS!!  It's the type of place you find treasures & unique home accessories that don't feel so generic...know what I mean?!?

I've got nothing wrong with stores like ZGallerie or Crate & Barrel but sometimes I crave a bit of uniqueness & if that involves a piece of furniture..... even better!

If you're in California, stop by Maude Woods & feel free to tell us all about it!

  4. I'm swooning. I live in retail-challenged central Pennsylvania. What I wouldn't give to live near a store like this!!! Do they have a website? I forgot to check.

  5. soo true, jen. i wish we had more boutiques and off-beat shops here in Northern VA, instead of your mainstays like West Elm, PB, RH and others. I get so sick of seeing people go all out with one style from those stores and forget about what pieces mean. ahh well, nothing wrong with any of them, just that nothing is ever good in excess :)

seems like houston and dallas have awesome places, id like to visit!

  13. I totally see what you're talking about here!! It's sure hard to find "unique" stores that have gorgeous pieces!
The store itself and the way it's set up and decorated can definitely make or break the value of the merchandise!
