Master Closet Runner Suggestions...(Via Made By Girl)

It's only Thursday & I'm already looking forward to the weekend. That's because we're finally going to BUY the SHOE shelving for my MASTER CLOSET! Most of you may recall me writing about my master closet in progress here.

Well, now I'm ready to choose a runner for the closet.  And of course, I would LOVE your suggestions.....

I've narrowed it down to the 5 below & even though they're all from Ballard Designs, feel free to suggest something else you may have seen. I'll be HONEST, it would be nice to stay under $200...so please don't list runners that cost $350 - like my absolute fave here

I'll just end up crying......

My master closet below....as I mentioned before in this post. The UGLY white wire shelving will be removed to make way for shoe & handbag SHELVES!

So, Please let me know your pick for a carpet runner...

  1. I'm kinda likin' the zebra one {but I may be biased as I have a zebra in my office/closet} and just remembered you have one in your foyer

  2. I am loving #3 but I am a sucker for a good geometric pattern!! Happy New Year! xoxo

  3. I absolutely love your choices and how exciting to be getting it all done! I personally think number 3 looks the most elegant. But I would really go for the one YOU adore. One that you wont get tired of, becasue it is probably a runner/mat that you wont be changing so often.

  4. Love all off the options. I love option #3 it's stylish & elegant and brings and I think it brings more piece. Good luck!

  5. I am 100% on board with #5! Abslutely gorgeous and will lighten up the space since the leopard print is rather pale. Love it! And you are leaning towards it yourself... That's a pretty good sign that it's the one!

  15. I love what you are doing, it is going to be such a great little retreat...when our clothes feel good then we feel good!!hehehe I am wondering why you don't just make your own runner?? You know the old fashioned floor cloths? Well, with your talent and there are prob some u-tube videos out there to show you the finishing it might be a sleek floor show for you and durable and also washable....just a suggestion..can't wait to see what you choose. 16. oooo, i like number 4 and 5. but they are all gorgeous. Is it weird to say that 4 and 5 look the most expensive. (assuming that in reality they are all quite similar in price)

    ReplyDelete
  17. #5 is my favorite by far. i cannot wait to see the finished product.

    ReplyDelete
  18. #5 its more subtle - yet still an animal!

  19. I like number 5 or the zebra one. Of course the serengueti one is fab!!!!

Good Luck! Loved the kitchen by the way!

  23. I'm with you I like #5, a very glam snow leopard :) plus I think the black/white pallet is more your style with the rest of the house vs. the golden browns of a traditional leopard. :) Your closet is gonna rock!

  24. I'm personally not a fan of animal prints but am definitely a HUGE fan of geometric ones. Therefore, I've gotta put my vote in for the gray and white geometric pattern! However, I do like your main pick right now, too. I feel like the color and print combimination is neutral but still funky.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really like numbers 3 and 5. Just depends what sort of look you want for your closet. 3 is more classic and elegant, and 5 is fun and exciting!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love number 1 *blush*

  27. Definitely #5, it looks the most rich and I like how it's sort of neutral and subtle.

Can't wait to see the final results!

  28. Oh I totally agree with your top pick. So much fun but also muted enough that its not over the top. Good luck!

  30. tI love the #5 choice that you're leaning toward. My second pick would be #3! Have fun organizing your shoes this weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love the one you're leaning towards, it's almost a neutral pattern, which is super chic. And the Zebra would be my second choice. Both are so lovely and would look amazing with your dark wood shelving. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love them all but think I like #1 the best. Hugs! Katherine

    ReplyDelete
  33. How exciting! Yeah I'm liking #5 too! #4 would be my second runner up :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm agreeing some of my fellow readers above...I adore #3 but Louie said it best, go with the one that you absolutely adore! So cool watching this transformation!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like them all, but #2 is my favorite :o)

    ReplyDelete
  36. go with your gut- #5 for SURE!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I definitely like #5 the best...looks more sumptuous and expensive than the actual price--love your closet too! What a great idea to go to Ikea for closet organizers, for some reason I never gave much thought to their organizers, thanks for the tip!

Do they not carry shoe organizers?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Jen! Happy New Year dear!
I love #3 for myself because my closet is more square. I love your choice for your master. It will look very sophisticated of course!
I spotted the chandelier too you know.

Go with #5. It's beautiful and it's similar to the one you really want. I'll think you'll be happiest with that one. They're all lovely though.

  41. I like 3 the best and then 5. I would consider 3 for my living room, but wonder what the texture is like...

    ReplyDelete
  42. love your choices!

i also love the nate berkus chevron dhurrie runner @ hsn its 2'x9' for $99! it doesn't really seem like the look your going for, but i just thought i'd chime in with that!

    ReplyDelete
  43. love the cheetah, can't wait to see it all put together!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Definitely #5!! I also like the zebra but #5 is my favorite :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think 4 or 5 would be perfect, given that your shelving units are dark. They would compliment them well. Good luck! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Leaning toward #3. I love the pattern. Gray is one of my favorite colors.

    ReplyDelete
  47. My first choice would definitely be 5, followed by 4. Looking forward to seeing the end result!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Number 3! But if you're going animal print, id go with Zebra!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am loving #5! It will go great with you space!

  53. Number 3 or 5! These are the bests! But if you can't deciced, just pick those which you least like, and do it again till you got the one, you want.

  56. TRAVELKATE: I do believe that IKEA had show organizers, but not as pretty as i wanted.

  57. Is #5 the belgique indoor/outdoor rug? If so, I have it and LOVE it ... although I will say it is definitely not the softest (as you would expect). But it looks amazing!

  62. I with you... I like #5 too! Can't wait to see the outcome. I know it will be fabulous! xo

    ReplyDelete
  63. I love #3 - I feel like it's very 'you', but maybe not for your closet in particular..it's a big contrast in color plus the pattern's a bit distracting for such a small space that will already be full of stuff.
I like 4 & 5 a lot too! These blend in very nicely...the zebra is very stylish and the leopard is more subdued but also nice. And it wouldn't compete with the clothing in your closet :) Good luck!a

    ReplyDelete
  64. PS. I just noticed you changed your header! Love it - plus it's perfect since you did make it :) xo

    ReplyDelete
  65. Love the one you picked-hands down. Chic and modern and great tones. But all your selections are nice.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love that your closet will be neat enough to have a runner in it... I like the one you like...riirrrr!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I vote for 4 - I totally get why you like 5, but I think something strong and bold would work best in that space and contrast with the existing flooring. But go with the one you love the most, you have to live with it!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just bought #5 that you like. I only opened it a bit before a order a return receipt but them mom urged me to take it out of the bag. I actually love it now. Quite pretty in my dining room. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  69. can't go wrong with 3 or 5!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Love the one you chose and also #3! Loving the new header :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. So glad to see which one you all have selected...it makes it easier for me to decide. As of (15 min ago) I bought #5.

So, we'll see how it works out...thanks to everyone who gave me their suggestion! OXOXO!

  75. I'm loving #3 or #5...both would look lovely...but I'm partial to a bit of animal print especially in a small space...can't wait to see it finished!
    XOXO

  76. Since your space is somewhat narrow/small, I like the idea of "wall-to-wall" carpet...like #5, the one that's your favorite, as opposed to the ones with borders. Your closet is so nice and I love the little chandelier!

    ReplyDelete
  77. would be rug number four for me although they'd all look pretty good I think!!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I am biased, if you saw my house, you'd understand, but I LOVE the zebra one (number 4)... when you're getting ready for a night out, it will make you feel cha cha va voom... the others sort of lack that... you should feel sexy when you're getting dressed....

    ReplyDelete
  79. You should also check out Flor carpet tiles. A friend of mine just purchased them for her entry and loves them. She got the: Serengeti - Raven (http://www.flor.com/serengeti-raven.html)which is similar to the look you were going for. And, you cant beat the price! Good luck picking a rug.
