The Color PINK...(Via Made By Girl)

Welcome back everyone! How's your day going so far??

Things are pretty good over here.... minus the SUPER windy weather! My Goodness! Anyway, I haven't been out of the house today except to walk my dogs...I feel a bit housebound!  When I'm at home & start to feel BORED I begin to imagine what kind of projects I could tackle. Whether it's design related or not....it's a strange form of inspiration... boredom....ever FEEL that feeling!? Inspired out of boredom?! I know I do.

Well, today I started thinking of the color pink & how it's inspired me throughout my own life. Ever since I was a little girl, Pink was was one of my favorite colors. These days I gravitate toward this color in all different shades from coral to magenta. In fact, most of the paintings from my upcoming Cocoa & Hearts shop include different variations of pinks!

How do you feel about the color PINK? Is it in your top favorite colors?

  31. Jen...so true...boredom = creative release...and do you know that I never really got into the colour pink or had a true appreciation for it..until I started blogging..as pink was blogged about EVERYWHERE in EVERY WAY ! lol

In color psychology, The Color Pink Represents:

Unconditional love: Pink relates to both unconditional love and romantic love.

Compassion: Empathy and understanding are the fuel for pink's nurturing.

Nurturing: Pink is both the giving and the receiving of love, understanding and respect.

Hope: Pink inspires the possibility of a positive outcome.

    Pretty interesting dont you think?

makes alot of sense as to why we tend to gravitate towards certain colours at certain stages in our lives..more than others..and why it changes throughout the years.

I love the more vibrant coral shades of pink when it comes to decor..but enjoy the softer blushing shades of pink when it comes to flowers.

Cannot wait to see your beautiful range of paintings Jen...that last image looks amazing!! :) x

  32. ANNA WHITE: I like how you put it....I heard several times that pink was
    Unconditional love too....

Thanks for your pretty comment, i loved it.

I was a sucker for green as a child, blue as a teen and now am a bonafide pinkie! I love looking at darker shades of pink in artwork and furniture but can only wear light pink as makeup. The colour Pink makes me me feel comfortable and warm :)
