Art Filled Home....

The NEW Made By Girl site design is almost ready.... & guess what?!?!? We'll be launching the GOLD LOVE prints along with it! Can't wait!!

Along with all of that - I'll be adding more Cocoa & Hearts paintings & this time you'll be able to access C & H right through a link on Made By Girl!
This week I came across this home on Deco Dir and was immediately inspired. The artwork on the walls in this home really got me back in the mood to paint!

I LOVE art....and it's fascinating to see it on a large scale. Of course this is miniature in comparison to the artwork great artists like Picasso painted - those things THINGS were HUMONGOUS!!  I was lucky enough to stand in front of a few at the Getty & MOMA this year.

Do you like large scale art? Would you ever consider adding some large pieces to your home??

  1. I would LOVE a massive piece of art, but I can't afford a massive price. So I'm thinking of getting a giant canvas and letting my 5 year old go to town. What do you think? ~Melissa

  2. JULIAS BOOKBAG: Id say go for it. I would suggest providing the colors to her you think would work best in your space ...then let her paint away!! :))

  3. I LOVE how giant artwork looks on big white walls. I have a pretty big piece over my sofa (4 ft x 4ft) and some other large gold canvases hanging in my dining room ! Wish I could buy more giant art !

  7. I have tons of paintings in my house too because my parents are so obsessed with them, and that led me to becoming obsessed with them too! Those pieces look great. I want to buy a couple of "Keep calm and carry on" posters and put them in frames, they're really nice. Great style

  8. I would love for my kids to do all of the art in my home. That makes it twice as special. And I CAN'T WAIT for your print to go on sale! I am buying it for sure! Have a great weekend!

  9. I absolutely love large art. It's such a statement and honestly, can COMPLETE the room. You can take a very bland room, put up a beautiful bold painting and bam, the room just looks much more refreshed.

  21. I like fewer larger works of art more than the gallery look of smaller frames clustered together. I think the next piece of art I'm going to get will be an extra large Ed Ruscha towel that's about 7 feet wide.

  22. Absolutely! I have a 5+ ft. painting of two elephants in my living room that I LOVE. One of the best splurges I've ever done!
