Lofty spaces...

Living Etc. Magazine always manages to showcase some amazing spaces. Living in an open space has always been a dream of mine, well, I did live in a loft space once in New York & it was quite an experience! I remember the best part was that we had an entire wall of windows, so beautiful. I'm aware lofts aren't for everyone & they aren't all gorgeous, it's raw space & you have to like the style. Have you ever lived in a loft space? Would you consider living in one???

These were a few of my favorites from the
Living Etc. website, hope you enjoy them!

  1. Great loft photos! And yes, I would definitely live in one. In fact, being married to an artist / architect - I basically have no choice! :)

  2. I wanted one when I was little after watching the movie Big – the loft apartment he has in that was awesome (as far as I remember!) These are beautiful though – and not a coke machine in sight ;)

  3. I've always loved the open spaces that lofts provide. I also love how creative you can be with the space. Those two things alone would make me want to live in a loft, however I also love my closets. How do you get both storage space and open space?

  6. I loath Lofts! Once this terrible real estate market gets the least bit better here in CA I'm building a "lofty" home! It's great having a Dad who's an Architect with good taste!

  8. i am all for a loft if the bedrooms are private and closed off (bathrooms too). i have never lived in a loft but my brother did years ago and i remember it being very cold and hard to keep warm in the winter and loud. i do love me some open plan living though.

  10. i'd love to live in a loft as long as the bedrooms were separate. it's my biggest need-to-get in interiors and homes, a huge loft in the middle of the city

I love loft spaces. I've never lived in one and don't know if I have enough style to fill one! But I'd try :)

  17. I have often thought about living in a loft ~ the design I would do. I think it would be different and refreshing. A big open space, a blank canvas. Yeah, I could do that. Love these photos. Nice editing.

  25. WOW!!! Those are amazing lofts!!!
I never lived in one, but for a long time I dreamed about it! How I would decorate and so on and on... even not being glamorous you can certainly make it stylish!
Nowadays I don't consider living in one anymore as I do need space for my parents to stay when they come over...

    xx
