Noah's Room

Hey everyone!

Welcome back and thank you for coming by to view the living & dining room reveal last week! This week I wanted to share a bit of my son's room. I wanted to focus mostly on one side of his room because I honestly haven't decided to put anything above his crib. The reason is because he's a toddler and if I add any artwork, he may actually touch it & knock it down! -  I know other moms can relate to this.

I thought about some vinyl stars again, but just felt it would appear too cluttered. I already think it has a lot and that's due to the open West Elm Parsons shelf we added. BUT don't WORRY...the shelf is securely bolted to the wall! So remember, I would not recommend adding this to a toddler's room unless it is securely bolted, so safety first! My son is also NOT a climber thankfully!

So here it is, his little space that he enjoys and I think his favorite part is the table + 2 stools we got him from Sprout Kids. We also added two more chairs from Oeuf NYC which I absolutely love! We chose the Eco-Friendly Bear Play Chair set of 2 in Birch. You can also add these fun play stickers to your purchase as well! However, if you're feeling creative you can certainly purchase some craft paint & paint some faces yourself! Hope his space inspires you!

Lonny ReLaunch

In case you hadn't heard - the New Lonny is back.  There is a relaunch issue out right now featuring Cindy Crawford on the cover & I love it.

I admit, ever since Michelle Adams left & joined Domino Magazine, I lost interest. I guess I just adored Michelle's style & got caught by surprise with her departure.  Anyone else felt that way??! Anyhow, today I am back in LOVE with Lonny, the whole site has changed & I love the newest home tour featuring one of my fave designers, Susan Greenleaf's home. Great job to the Lonny crew with this relaunch, can't wait to see what else you have in store!

Belmont Design Group

Hello Everyone! I missed you guys while I was away -but I had such a FAB time in NYC! I can't begin to tell you how great it was to be back there! Visiting my family & old friends again was awesome! I even got to meet a few bloggers that I only knew online!

Photos of my trip coming soon!!

Anyhow, now that I'm back it's back to blogging! Today I wanted to introduce you to designer, Alison Royer. She's a talented designer who runs Belmont Design Group in California.  She recently sent me a space she completed for one of her clients.  Her client lives in BRAZIL & wanted a serene design for their VACATION HOME in Orange County, CA.

This is what Alison designed & she told me in her own words:

I had a great time working on this project and with these clients.  The goal of this room was to create an architecturally rich retreat, where traditional and modern elements co-exists.  We drew inspiration from the interior styling of Axel Vervoordt and designed this room to include a neutral color palette, white walls and natural elements.  I incorporated some of their existing pieces such as the camel colored hide rug and weathered wooden pedestal.  I also had to keep in mind that this is a family of 5 with 3 active boys so I worked hard at balancing their design style with their lifestyle.  :)

This project was for my clients vacation home in Orange County, CA but they live full time in Brazil so we worked together via email to complete this project.

Kimberly Moore's Home Tour...

Kimberly Moore from Third Floor Design Studio has agreed to let us into her home today....and it's a cozy one at that! She's an Interior Designer who runs an online blog as well as her own e-design & on-site services! Her rates are relatively affordable & if you live in Utah (like her) - then bonus!

Don't you just LOVE how with the power of the Internet, designers are now able to help their clients from anywhere around the world...so cool!!

It definitely beats JUST talking on the phone. In fact with programs like Skype, we can meet & discuss our homes with designers online & not even have to meet in person!

Have you ever tried e-design services? What was your experience like??

I really love the SIMPLICITY of Kimberly's place, don't you?? Let her know what you love about her place!

To find out more about her & her design services visit her blog, Third Floor Design Studios !

La Casa De Doris....

I always love to highlight other creative people...and even though I've featured Doris before (here).... I'm excited to be featuring her again! She made a few changes to her home since then & was kind enough to let me share the pictures with all of you!!

Hope you'll enjoy this unique home as much a I have!

Doris ALSO has a beautiful shop (a must see) in Brazil - you can learn more about her shop here. It's called Coisas Da Doris

Venetian mirrors look great almost anywhere in the home. I thought about buying two for my master bathroom....

Of course I love the lucite chairs...and you??

How cute are these gold reindeer hooks in her bathroom??

There's something super cool about a LARGE photograph framed behind a glass. This is something I've thought about doing in my own home.

Not sure where I'd put it, but it has to be a PHOTOGRAPH that doesn't tire easily...you know, something you can look at everyday & still ADORE....

Her style is definitely unique & playful. I wish I had more friends with her style & creativity in home decor- I'm sure it would be so inspiring to visit her home!

How interesting is this artwork? It reminds me of a board game! Oh and it also contains my fave word "LOVE"

I love modern bathrooms & in this case i like how the bright and colorful pendant adds interest and breaks up this white space.
