I went on a 'Sex and the City' tour a few years ago and they took us to the Magnolia Bakery in the Village...my hubby was on a biz trip in the city sometime later and actually took a cab to the bakery, bought me cupcakes and flew home with them for me!! I LOVE, LOVE cupcakes and theirs are phenomenal!! ;-}
I don't know, I'm not too impressed with Magnolia cupcakes, but maybe it's because I've had my fair share of cupcakes around the city. Theirs are too dry. I do love the ones from Sugar Sweet Sunshine, Crumbs, Baked by Melissa, and Cupcake Stop.
That cupcake looks incredible! I'm dying to buy the magnolia cookbook, considering I live in North Carolina, it's probably the closest I'll get to actually having something from the bakery! haha!
Wowza jen, that cupcake looks so perfect. almost too perfect to eat! love that the top if perfectly uniform and is nearly the size of the cake part itself!
Oooo love Magnolia!! Have a good weekend :)
