Oba Arquitetura

Have you heard of Oba! Arquitetura? Two architects Leila Bittencourt and Fernanda Casagrande, opened up a showroom focusing on children rooms! They don't believe in designing a room around a specific theme rather developing each room as a work of art. They source accent objects from around the world, and use lots of texture and patterns to keep a playful and magical feel to each room.

Leila and Fernanda also have their own line of furniture (tables, stools and beds) that they design in their studio, that they say can "grow" with the child, making sure that each piece is adaptable as they get older. Check out some of their work below! Aren't these rooms precious?

Those S curve tables are great. Perfect for children, sort of inspired by the idea of having desks set up in a circle as opposed to rows. Much more conducive to teaching. Everyone can see everyone else no one is hidden in the back and one is on "display" in the front.

Puts me to shame Jen!!

I love the rooms, the ideas and the colour schemes to. The furniture pieces are amazing and really do seem to highlight a point of difference. Like you said, the pieces are something they can grow into. Currently my two little ones are sharing a room as I want them to be close as they grow older but I have been at a loss as to how to design it as the preferences on toys and styles change daily - this is great inspiration for me.
