After working so hard this year- I'm really hoping to go on vacation & relax. So, I'm thinking sometime in the new year....any suggestions? It can be a summer or winter getaway - spas are great too!
I'll admit, I'm NOT fond of flying more than 6 hours, so if you know know of a great place to vacation....not more than 6 hrs away, please comment! I'm sure others would love to DISCOVER new & exciting places they've never been to either!
All the photos below are from At Casa of home or hotels abroad, which I have yet to visit, maybe one day..
Just thinking the same thing!!!

Hawaii is about 6hr flight from NV. I am going for my honeymoon in march and I can't wait. some amazing places to be explored
ReplyDeleteMe too, but, I will be going to England in the spring and can't wait - what about Bermuda or St. Thomas? Hawaii? or stay at a ranch in Montana...;-) Happy New Year Jen!!
ReplyDeletewow some of those look pretty special :) have a lovely time no matter where you are off to ... you could use our beach house in New Zealand but that is slightly more than six hours in the plane :) best le xox
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike, I was JUST thinking about this!
ReplyDeletePhoenix/ Scottsdale AZ has some of the best spa resorts in the US or Florida is one of my favorite destinations along with the Caribbean. Taking vacations is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIf you like the ocean and beach you should go to Turks and Caicos. Grace bay is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Very calm, electric blue water and the islands are not built up like Aruba, Cancun, etc.

Come to Vancouver Canada!
ReplyDeleteI'm always an advocate for cruises. You've got spa, luxurious room, different getaways, all wrapped into one, with free food to boot!
ReplyDeleteI recommend St. Augustine, Florida. The history and culture are so rich there.

Such inspiring images! I'm heading to the Caribbean in a few weeks and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to Cabo? We went there for our honeymoon in November, and stayed at Esperanza, an Auberge Resort and it was absolutely amazing. Relaxing, beautiful, private, and refreshing! They have their own private beach, with cabanas you can reserve for the entire day (at no cost), and an amazing spa with the option of massage/couples massage in a curtained cabana on the beach as well. The flight is only 2 hours from LA, so I'm guessing it's not much longer than that out of NV. Here is their website...hard to beat for a relaxing get-away!

Try Ten Thousand Waves Spa in Sante Fe, New Mexico! Great food, atmosphere and culture in this area!
ReplyDeleteJust looked at the pictures and I was thinking exactly the same as you did!!
ReplyDeleteWhile it may not sound as exciting as other places, Park City is beautiful in winter or summer. So relaxing & just a laid back place to be. If you did end up coming to Utah, I could suggest a few good places to you, resort or private home rental...Oh & some amazing places to eat as well! Its our families favorite quick getaway in the summer. LOVE IT!
