Ironically enough with the death of Elizabeth Taylor yesterday, I was looking through Vogue & came across this home. It belongs to a couple named Laura & Diego Garcia. I immediately noticed the HUGE pink painting/print on the wall of Elizabeth Taylor carefully placed in Laura's daughter's room!
What an interesting piece for a nursery don't you think?? ......I LOVE it!
Anyway, Laura is a fashion designer, while Diego is a Musician. They met each other while in school & fell in love, BROKE UP then met again in Rome & hooked up again...this time for keeps! They now have a pretty baby daughter and a great place in New York City. Love that story....Lucky gal....enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI also loved this home in Elle Decor. I just flicked through the mag earlier today and thought this home was really cool. It is one of those homes that you look at and think what a great lifestyle. It isn't just about the home but its about the environment they have created. It is very comfortable and chic.
ReplyDeleteThat portrait of Elizabeth is striking, especially in a nursery. She was an great fashion icon, I just heard about it last night myself. This is a great place!

Dang, what a coincidence! Beautiful apartment though. I especially love the pendant light and the floor lamp in the nursery. Anybody know any reasonably priced sources for those? Or what they are called?

ReplyDeleteVery cool. It works for some reason and I love that it is so unexpected... that is what makes a space interesting. Have a wonderful weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteWonderful story as well as a wonderful home!
ReplyDeleteThe choice of artwork in the child's room, reflects the parents interest, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that, considering they probably spend just as much time in this room when the baby is awake, not to mention when she is asleep... :)

Gorgeous. All these interior design posts give me the urge to spice up my apartment. Even though its so small you can't really do too much!
