The hardware is now installed on the kitchen cabinets, and the guy I hired did a great job! Thank God. I purchased the hardware from Home Depot & am very pleased with the polished chrome finish. I decided on the cup pulls because I wanted a slight country feel mixed with some interestingly modern elements.
I realize I could've purchased the hicks pendants from Circa Lighting in silver, but I really LOVE the antique brass & navy together. Besides, in my inspiration picture they mixed the antique brass & silver.....& I didn't think it look that bad!
Let me know what you think of the kitchen with the hardware...
I still need to add a stainless steel spice rack under the hood vent.

absolutely.gorgeous~! thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The pulls really bring it all together and add a nice finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation! I love the mixture of finishes...adds a pop to the lights and makes it feel fresh and new. I was going to use brass knobs in our kitchen but ended up using stainless with our nickel finished lamps because we were concerned with resale value:( My kitchen looks very similar to yours!\
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Katie

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful! And super inspiring too. I have a similar colour as your before cabinets and have always wanted to paint them white.

ReplyDeleteThe before photo didn't look too shabby, but...Wow!!! What a beautiful transformation.
ReplyDeletesuch an improvement! It looks so clean and timeless now.
ReplyDeleteDo you plan to put anything on top of the wall cabinets? I never know what to do with those. They look a bit naked without anything, but most items up there are hokey.
Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove your new kitchen, really good color and hardware choice!
Lovely greetings...
Jen...absolute perfection..really..honestly truly..what a dream kitchen...gold star to you lovely x

ReplyDeleteproof that with a bit of creativity you can have what seems to be an entirely new kitchen just by repainting & adding better tiles & hardware! You go girl! Fantastic job - it looks almost exactly like your inspiration picture too! You must be super happy with it!

Not country at all! I love that hardware, it is on my "some day" list.
ReplyDeleteOMG i love it!! It looks amazing! so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kitchen! The pendants over the island MAKE it. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI have the same pulls and knobs in my kitchen! Yet somehow ... it doesn't look quite the same. Perhaps time to upgrade my 70 year old cupboards. :) ~ karen
Looks great! We have similar hardware from Restoration Hardware. I recommend purchasing a few extras of each. Over time the doors and cabinets you use most will show wear. If you have a couple extras you can just swap them out!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your pendant lighting. Fabulous.
xo,
cristin
This is looking so beautiful~ Love the white, chrome, translucent... hmmm!
ReplyDeleteI just moved to santa monica and am working for one of those high end hospitality firms there...;). I loved finding your blog, and am sure to be a follower! thanks Jen!

ReplyDeleteLooks BRILLIANT Jen!! Love what you have done! Rachel x
ReplyDeletePERFECTION. Loving the polished look of the hardware (they're like beautiful timeless jewelry for your cabinets) AND the brass of the pendants. It looks like you acquired the items over time.
ReplyDeleteThe S's beach house: Ha! The flowers are actually silk...they look pretty real in person, I love them! AND no, i dont have a green thumb. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's looking better and better! I like how you changed the vase to black. I wouldn't have thought to do that but I looove how it looks. p.s. I featured your foyer in my post today about my favorite bloggers' rooms:) Such a stylish space Jen.
ReplyDeleteJen, it's beautiful! I'm also so happy we choose similar hardware into our new kitchen. It looks cozy and fabulous the same time!
ReplyDeletei love it!it's amazing this changement

ReplyDeletego girl!!nice one..
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful! You've done an amazing job in such little time and I've enjoyed looking at every step of the way. Interior designing is definatley a strong point of yours.
ReplyDeleteI love your choice and was thinking of getting these pulls after I saw them in a friend's home here in Laguna. Hers are from a very fancy place and I'm glad to know about the Home Depot option--I can't get over how great your back splash looks and I agree, I like the way the brass and navy lights add a richer look to the kitchen--it's fab!
ReplyDeletexo Mary Jo
I LOVE it, and I think the mix with the brass of the pendants is what makes it really shine! Oh, and I adore cup pulls.
ReplyDeleteA M A Z I N G
ReplyDeleteThe transformation is really breathtaking -- from builder's stock to high-end design. Brilliant to have the wall and the range hood both white so that the hood just becomes texture against the wall instead of a focal point. Clean, modern, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous Jen! I love the mix of metals. Just perfect!
ReplyDeleteLooking lovelier every day! Gorgeous Jen!
ReplyDeleteLooks Awesome!! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic! I love the choice of backsplash and lighting. It really completes the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a beautiful finished product. :)
-Lindsay
Gorgeous gorgeous! I love everything you've done. Will put it in my inspiration folder for when I finally have a nice big kitchen to re-do!
ReplyDeleteWorld of improvement! Good job!
ReplyDeleteOh It looks so FABULOUS! Happy New Year to you Jen! I bet it's a relief to see it finished, congratulations, you've made some perfect choices there, xxx.
ReplyDeletei love your kitchen! What color did you choose for your cabinets?
ReplyDeleteREBECCA: Thanks! It is a mixed color to look just like Simply White Benjamin Moore...
ReplyDeletecongrats on your new kitchen Jen. Looks Ah-Mazing! Happy New Year to you xx
ReplyDeleteLove the lights. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Those pendants are sooooo lovely. And totally dig the pulls. The only thing I want is perfectly tailored thick cushions in a patterned fabric on the stools!!!! But do want you want, it's your kitchen! Happy New Year xx Ali
ReplyDeleteLove the results hun! In regards to ur question u could turn that vase into something a bit more art nouveau by addin some brass/gold and silver paint tying the room together.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your kitchen, Jen. You have really transformed it and made it look like a million bucks. Happy New Year! xo
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the kitchen. Looks fabulous! xoxo Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteI love white cabinets! Good choice, looks amazing!
ReplyDeletei'm not sure if you'll see this comment, but i wondered if you could share the brand of knobs and pulls you used from home depot?? i love how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteBECKY: I think they were AMEROCK brand....
ReplyDeleteWhat countertop did you use and what color, I can't tell from the pics?
ReplyDeleteJUST A GIRL: It's called Rain Cloud by Corian.... :)
ReplyDeletejen,
ReplyDeleteyour kitchen is a DREAM!
i'm assuming you did your research on carrara marble... do you like the corian? does it go with the carrara backsplash?
it sure looks like it in the pictures!
LEHI +SASHA:
ReplyDeleteI do like the Corian...it's super pretty. It's matte...so if you like shiny, this is not for you.
As for the backsplash, it isnt the best looking marble tile as it is from home depot, but you cant beat the price. Maybe in a few yrs i'll change then out to something more high end.
