HI LAURA: I hid it in the closet...just kidding! I'm just very tidy & clean. With 2 dogs I have to be or else I'll go crazy. Either way, the shelf looks neat because I'm not done filling it in just yet...need more time & books.
love the bookshelf! have fun filling it in. i'm not sure if you ever check out thisyounghouse.com, but they did a post not too long ago on styling a bookcase. you might find some inspiration in either their suggestions or the photos that they provided. here's the link:
Hi, I always visit your blog and am delighted with your talent and good taste, congratulations. It would be an honor to receive your visit to my humble blog and hear about their opnião of my craft, that would be a dream. May God continue to guide your life. kisses
I couldn't fill that whole shelf either although I just started a book club with my friends and I'm sure I would be able to fill it quickly. I'm the kind of girl who likes to own the books she reads, not check out from a library.
I don't know if you ever shop secondhand or not but I buy most of my books from habitat for humanity and secondhand book stores. I LOVE books and dream of having a library in my home like the one off Disneys Beauty and the Beast one day..lol. Anyway I buy books that usually retail for $30-$100+ for 20cents-$1 this way.
so cute! just an idea. i saw it somewhere. since the bookshelf is white, you could organize the books by color (on the spine). it looks really good. :]
CHAVAH- I have no problem with secondhand books/bookstores. I haven't found any here in Vegas...OR maybe there is one or two...Just haven't come across them. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. The secondhand deals you're getting sound GREAT!
Where is your clutter? So organized, I Love it :)
ReplyDeleteneat! that bookcase is a perfect fit by that staircase, very smart use of space=)

ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with your bookshelves. You don't need more books. You need baskets, vases and sculptures to finish off the interior!
