My July 4th Dinner....(Made by Girl)

Today I'll spend the day with my guy. No fancy parties, no extravagant outfits or fireworks, just a nice dinner for 2 at our dining table.

We'll then watch the fireworks from our 3rd floor balcony & then go to sleep! I know.... Boring....but sometimes it's nice to enjoy a Holiday at home. See you tomorrow!

My guy made our 4th of July dinner - here's what he cooked:

Stuffed, crusted rib-eye steak
Filling of non-dairy cream cheese & herbs
Crust of herbed, sauteed bread crumbs

Broccoli rabe with
Grilled lemon rind in butter

Pasta salad:
marinated artichoke
sundried tomato
sauteed onion
bacon
cucumber

  3. hi Jen, i've been a reader and staunch admirer of you for sometime. i check in every week to see what you've got going on but am not sure if i've actually commented before. so remiss lades, i saw that Linh from La-La-Linh is having a giveaway with one of your stellar art works and gosh i realized i wasn't even a "real" follower. i've corrected this error now, my so bad.

your 4th celebrations seem ideal to me, way would rather nook with the boyf than any fancy shmancies....not boring at all. and that d-vine dinner is WOW! cheers! ♥

  8. We don't have anything fancy either. We did some grocery shopping and eat at a fast food restaurant.

Hope you enjoy your day, regardless! The meal looks delicious.

  23. I did the same with my huny and xuxa my dog. I made soft shell crabs, baked potatoes with guacamole and watermelon margaritas.
We watched the celebration on tv and out the window at same time, it was pretty cool! The 4th is HUGE here in Philly.
Your eve looks yummy as well;-)
