I LOVE Amber Lewis. Her style is fantastic & always well put together! Even when SHE mixes DIFFERENT pattens, it STILL looks good! I ADMIT, I'm so bad at trying to pull that off....know what I mean? Mixing & matching patterns is NOT my forte....
I tried it a few times & the result was truly a disaster. This was however 5 years ago, so maybe I've gotten better, who knows. But I love the way Amber does it in her interior design. Amber, lives & works in L.A.
She also offers e-design, which is actually a BIG thing right now for those who can't go to their designers.

Just curious, any of you try to mix & match different patterns?? Were you successful at it??

I tried mixing and match patterns a year ago. Throw pillows were my first test and I thought it didn't look good together. I've been looking at so many inspirations everywhere and slowly figuring out what works and what doesn't. I think my mistake was buying too many things at one time.
ReplyDeletePlus, I love Amber Lewis Interior Design. The patterns that she puts together are all so fabulous.
MARIVIC: lol funny, i also started with throw pillows too! thought i would be safe..i hope i figure it out soon!
ReplyDeleteI adore Amber and her style. She really knows how to rock it!!

love these rooms! I had never really thought of e-design for interior design, there. interesting!
ReplyDeleteJen, I think you've done a wonderful job in putting pieces together. You are one of my creative inspirations. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures. I think Interior design is my one true love. I am obsessed and I could look at pictures for hours. I'm pretty sure I am going to transfer out of my small town in Tennessee and pursue my dream of being an Interior designer.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I have recently become very eccentric in my style choices and these pictures have pretty much describe what I am trying to achieve.
Kitchen is very nice. The rest is not my style, but I appreciate her work!
ReplyDeleteAmber is very talented....with her bohemian style....so interesting. Love your style too Jen.....
