I LOVE looking at nurseries. Even though I don't have any babies of my own, it's always nice to see how people decorate a NURSERY. I've never done it, but one thing I know is that nurseries are NOT what they used to be! I remember when women would choose a PINK room for a girl & a BLUE room for a boy - it was that simple. Nowadays, nursery decor has come a long way!
Moms-to-be are thinking OUT OF THE BOX for their newborn babies - they're deciding on unique color schemes, less Disney & more original artwork instead.
I've been blessed that my ABC customized kids print has been chosen as part of decor for so many kids rooms. In fact I'm definitely seeing A LOT more creativity when it comes to children's rooms & it's always nice to know that the children themselves may pick up on that.

So, what do you think? Do you prefer creativity in a kids room over the same ol' same ol??
A great book that I'd recommend for inspiration is Rooms For Kids by Susanna Salk & Kelly Wearstler. AND...Thank you Nadia!!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! She did a fantastic job and I am LOVING the chevron walls! Great color scheme with the gray/yellow :) For a baby's room, that is quite an impressive closet. It's bigger than what I have right now! Kudos to her!

Totally jealous! Its so darned cute I would never want to leave it. Definitely got some inspiration ideas for my daughter's room, but it will possibly take YEARS to put it all together as I have to do a lot of second hand shopping. But, having a vision is great. She is already a toddler, but she can appreciate something like this for years to come I think!
ReplyDeletelove the colours and the wardrobe space:)))

ReplyDeleteLove this nursery. I am on such a grey and yellow kick these days. I blogged about the colour combo twice (TWICE) in the last few days and tonight I finished up a predominantly yellow painting I hope will look nice in my grey bathroom. Mmmm. Yellow and grey.

Thanks all for the kind comments and of course special thanks to Jen for featuring my baby's nursery. It was truly a labor of love and we are so happy with the results. I'm enjoying all the time spend there (and believe me that's a lot of time!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great nursery...love the mix of colors and patterns.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the creativity in the children's rooms instead of the boring ol blue room with the toy train and simple and expected play toy. I really love the subtle hints of Safari theme in there as well :)
ReplyDeleteJen, I´d definitelly pick creativity over that same traditional look. This room is fabulous and I love its colors!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful nursery! Just curious--what size is the bed you have in the room? We're trying to come up with a good layout for our nursery/guest room and I'm wondering if this might work.
ReplyDeleteAnd especially love the chevron wall!
ReplyDeleteLove colors and the zig-zag wall!!
