Of course with TRAVEL comes planning my outfits.... and to tell you the TRUTH, I'm going insane trying to find the PERFECT heels! I would've taken pictures of my outfits but I'm having two of them altered at the tailor.
So, I'm on the HUNT for some interesting heels, something fun that will go with an all black (above the knee) dress and a gray (above the knee) dress! Of COURSE they should be relatively comfortable too....but rarely do amazing and comfort go hand-in-hand when it comes to shoes in my experience!
So far I've looked at ShopStyle (one of my favorite resources) but just don't have the time to go through 1372 pages of shoes they have listed! I think I got through 100 pages.....exhausting!
Another dilemma, why are all the heels I REALLY like over $500? Hmmm

Great post! Love those Sam Edelman spiked heels!
ReplyDeleteI have just checked out ZARA's range of heels and I was impressed. Just did a post on ZARA so I've got the brand on my mind - right now :) I do like the first heels however! x anastasia
ReplyDeleteI really like endless.com
ReplyDeleteYou can customize your search and narrow down what you don't want. :)
6pm and shopbop are great!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of against buying shoes online.. I feel like if I don't know how they feel on how am I going to be able to purchase them.. and justify paying that amount of money!
ReplyDeleteI'm dying over those spiked heels though!

SARA MARIE: I know what you mean...luckily most places have decent return policies. Ive been lucky with shoe sizes online, thank God. :)

ReplyDeletei love boden shoes!
ReplyDeleteNo heels at all. FLATS all the way. It's impossible to walk on those mountain-high shoes! Comfort first! Fashion second! And both can easily go hand in hand. Flats have been really cute lately!
ReplyDeleteLove the 1st grey pair!! I prefer shopping for heels in person to to trying on for comfort.
ReplyDelete6pm.com has fast shipping and I have never had issues with there service. Heels.com has a good selection and I fallen in love with shoedazzle.com recently - good luck!
ReplyDeleteSolestruck.com is a great place to buy afforable luxury heels. Sam Edelman has great leather platforms.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great! I'm the same way, can always pick out the most expensive without even trying.
ReplyDeleteI love the teal pair and the leopard pair. They would look so cute with either your black or grey dress. I love Zappos, they have a lot to choose from and their shipping & return policies are great!

My fun and hot shoes are staying home for blogfest. I can't walk in them all day. Love all your picks here.
ReplyDeleteCHASSITY: Oh! ....I'm bringing flats in my bag....just incase!! But I think there will be some evening parties- we shall see :)
ReplyDeleteoooh, too much goodness here! Jen, your posts are often dangerous for my wallet :))) I love these!! Wish I could make it to Blogfest, you'll have to tell us all about it!
ReplyDeleteNancy xo
The 2nd pair is my fav. They're perfect with grey and black and are a great summer shoe. There is something fresh and new looking about them. Love!
ReplyDeleteI usually check Nordstrom's web. And occasionally Nine West, and Steve Madden (they usually have pretty good sales online) Love all the heels, especially the nude ones and the ikat pumps!
ReplyDeleteendless and zappos (and sometimes amazon) have free 2 day shipping and free returns...can't beat that for shoes! i also use shopstyle a lot as well. i am a shoe fanatic and buy shoes online on a regular basis, these are my go to sites for reliability and selection!
ReplyDeleteI have bought from Payless -easy shopping and free delivery to a store near you (I wear size 5 which is very difficult to find!)QVC, HSN too...I LOVE the leopard and the black and white IKAT you show - they rock!!
ReplyDeleteI have ordered from Zappos at 4pm and they are on my doorstep at 9 am the NEXT day! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteooo wee! I've had my eye on those Sam Edelman shoes for months! I LOVE them. and I'm loving that first pair as well, funky!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing those spiked heels all over the web and in stores, but haven't seen them in person on the street, so be the first! I think a pop of color would be nice, like the blue but I also like the animal print. Have you tried zappos rachel zoe picks?
ReplyDeleteLove love this post! I will have to admit though, some of my favorite shoes i snagged at Ross. Don't judge! I got two different pairs of Guess shoes that people compliment constantly and i grabbed them for 20 backaroos! This girl loves a ridiculous deal.
ReplyDeleteTAMRA: No, havent seen the Rachel Zoe picks yet...will check out now - thanks!!
ReplyDeleteCONSPICIOUS STYLE: Ah that's great! I love when shoes are shipped super fast. They told me they'd put me on the VIP upgrade list for one day shipping for free...hope its true!
ReplyDeleteSARAH: great choice! I also like the black and white Ikat one...may be leaning towards that one...hmmm
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteThe best shoes to own are the Zaharas from bebe. They're $149 and worth every penny! They're gorgeous on and so comfortable, you can dance in them all night.
All of those and at least 9 more on my list.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks!
Try peeptoeshoes.com.au !! x

for a cute pop of color & can't beat the price!

You have some pretty fab heels up there! Love the black stud ones, the leopard print, and the sort of Ikat-y peep toes!
ReplyDeleteI tend to be an equal opportunist when it comes to shoes. I recently helped a friend find a shoes to go with a dress for the Kentucky Derby (which her husband is in) and we went to literally every store we could- high to low. The hunt was on. Happy Hunting to you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I really like www.vincecamuto.com they are great quality and extremely comfortable if you can believe that.

ReplyDeleteYAY Jen, excited to meet you, I'll be there too and having my own shoe dilemma as well. My advice, in NYC...a wedge is great, its a walking city~:)

PS: LOVE your choices!
Endless.com is my ultimate favorite website because you can narrow down by show size (hate to find a fabulous shoe and then it is not available on my size!)... oh i miss shopping!
ReplyDeleteHugs & kisses from Rio!
http://acasadava.blogspot.com
wow, you picked a lot of great ones!
ReplyDeleteTry this site, they only have 36 pages, lol! I like them because they have a broad range of styles and prices as well.
http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/women/footwear/items.aspx
I shop at Marshall, Tj Max and Ross. They have great designer shoes, but affordable prices. The only drawback is one has to go to the stores to shop and browse as they do not have online shopping available.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck...
Marshalls, TJ Max and Ross for designers names at low low prices. One drawback no online shopping or browsing.
ReplyDeleteI love the nude strappy pair for $139! I swear my nude heels are the most worn pair of shoes in my closet. They go with everything and always make my 5'1" frame just a little bit longer! If you're going to really low budget options, I'd recommend Go Jane — usually less than $25 a pair!
ReplyDeleteDSW hands down.
ReplyDeleteTHE ZHUSH: Yes, looking forward to meeting you too! :))) If i only i was a little more into wedges....just havent found some i really like that much yet!
ReplyDeleteASHLEY RAE: same thing i was wondering....
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am cheap (and a little proud of it) but I still like to look fabulous...(who doesn't right??) So, I can relate to your dilemma. However, I have found a really great site for inexpensive and super cute shoes! www.makemechic.com Plus if you spend $50 or more you can get free shipping! (I recently ordered three pairs for $50!!!) Check it out!

Oh my, those first grey ones are gorgeous! I'm sure you can find something slightly lower in price though....I have a pair of Joan&David platform pumps in a beautiful light pink / almost nude color that would look great with black and grey and they're surprisingly comfortable (around $200 but if you have other uses for them, they're worth it). Have fun :) -AnnMarie
ReplyDeleteOh what a post! Wedges and flats are my choice but there are times you need to have pumps, right? I'm into animal prints right now and the leopards pumps is a dying one.I'm sure it will be a great one for you and compliments your lifestyle as well.I'm still waiting for my leopard prints- in flats.:)
ReplyDeleteLove this post! Shoes are my soft spot! When I'm in the states I hit up DSW. I also shop at Winners (have found some GREAT designer shoes there for cheap!) From what I understand Winners is like TJ Maxx/Marshalls. But my secret? I try on shoes I love but cannot afford and then buy them on Ebay!
