As I mentioned before, my moving date is around the corner & I have to take note of the things that will possibly be furnishing my place. Of course, MOST of this is on my wish list...well, a couple of the items I've already purchased!! Either way, I wanted to share some of these with you.... BEFORE THE INSANITY of moving begins!
I do indeed own a cowhide rug. I found the most affordable/nicest ones at Ikea. The one I have you can see on your post featuring my house. It's on the floor of the foyer/library. It's unique because it's a very velvety cream/taupe colour. Not the typical brown and white or black and white. $299. (canadian)

ReplyDeleteI don't personally have the Barcelona daybed but we have the black one in the art gallery and of course, it's magical. I think it's better in white though. I used to own a vintage mies van der rohe coffee table and a vintage Le Corbusier lounge but sadly, the ex kept them in the breakup ....dammit. lol.

ReplyDeleteWe don't have the Barcelona daybed, but we have 4 white Barcelona chairs in our living room. I absolutely love them, they are such a classic. Congrat!

ReplyDeleteI have a speckled cowhide and love it- there is a picture of it on my blog post from today. I already have way too many mirrors in my house but have been in love with the atoll for a while now and the barcelona daybed is definitely a favourite.

Jen- I got my cow hide from ebay too.. Proinleathers- they ship from Florida, but it arrived to me in literally 1 day after purchasing it. These guys are awesome- said if I had any questions or concerns to contact immediately and they would take care of it. Paid $221- LOVE IT. Ended up buying a few more for my home. Good luck with the move!!

You get the mirror for sure, it´s gorgeous. all the othe things as well.
ReplyDeleteCredenza is what I am doubting about, I think it´s the colour or the look of it...but that´s my opinion. Good luck with moving. x
I have a fawn-colored cowhide, and I love it. I may be a bit biased, since I purchased mine down here (Brazil), but from what I understand, Brazilian hides are the softest/finest, followed by Argentinian. If you haven't purchased yet, I highly recommend one with that pedigree. There's a couple vendors on Ebay who are sources for South American hides, and offer them for the same range of prices I bought mine first hand... Just FYI.

ReplyDeleteI do not have the West Elm fur throw but I do have the Z Gallerie. It is so soft and it comes in fun colors like bright teal and amethyst. It is sooooo soft and perfect to cuddle in.

ReplyDeleteI have a Nguni Cattle hide rug. It's a gorgeous pattern & completely unique. The Nguni cattle are part of Bos indicus species of cattle & these include the more unusual colours & patterns.
