I may be moving soon & with moving comes NEW PROJECTS! One of those projects will be my (BIG) closet. At this moment, I'm REALLY considering carpet tiles by FLOR.
For those of you who don't know about FLOR, they make design-inspired carpet squares that come in an array of vivid colors & and modern styles that coordinate together to create custom designs. They're basically SQUARES that ASSEMBLE together super easy....NO nails, No Padding or glue! YES, they're removable, YES, they are washable & YES, they are replaceable! So to me, the idea of having FLOR carpet tiles in my closet is definitely something I'd like to consider.
What do you think about these in a closet?? Have you used FLOR in your home? What has your experience been like so far?
In this post, you'll find a few of my FLOR FAVORITES, but I'm REALLY leaning toward the Martha Stewart Serengeti tiles.

FLOR also has a new blog, check it out here.

I love FLOR. They have such amazing designs and it's such a great and versatile idea. We're thinking of getting it in our living room - in spite of the fact that it's all carpet in there now (it's beige) and really needs a punch of colour.
ReplyDeleteWe have specified FLOR at work, on quite a few of our projects. I think people are usually quite happy with it.
I think putting it in the closet is a great idea. Closets are often very under-designed spaces. The need some design love too!
am really digging the morrocan style one...love the colors. as always thanks for another great post and congrats on your latest mag feature. rock on gurl.
ReplyDeleteI have considered using FLOR in my living room, but I was just getting ready to explain that it was a bit too pricey. Before doing so, I decided to go to their site and check out pricing again. I was way wrong!
ReplyDeleteI calculated the price per sq ft for a space in my living room and it came out to under $200 for a 5x7 space! Seriously? I think I'm taking the plunge and finally making my flooring purchase that I've been holding off on.
Thank you thank you for re-opening my eyes to FLOR!
I can't wait to see how fabulous the new closest turns out...and the rest of a brand new space!
I have been a fan of FLOR for over a year now and am always going back trying to decide what to do with my floors.
ReplyDeleteI love FLOR and have recommended them for several clients. And how funny... just included them in a post today on designing playrooms for kids.
ReplyDeleteI love the new patterns they have recently released as well.
I think you'll love them!
xo,

That first picture- i cant believe its flor.
ReplyDeleteI need a rug for my living room I think FLOR tiles might be the solution. I looove the Moroccan style rug and the zigzag rug (not to mention that console table with the Hermes boxes stacked beneath it). Very inspiring!

whoa - can;t believe these are carpet tile. Am on my way to have a look! Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my blog too! Am coming back very soon to get me some chevron calling cards! KG
ReplyDeleteWow I didnt even know you could get anything like this! LOVE the leopard print one!
ReplyDeleteI'm probably the only one that was disappointed with the company. The "suggested" colors to match with the color we picked simply didn't match. We had to ship back our order twice (which we paid for) before we settled on having the rug all the same pattern. The also annoying part was that we had contacted them to check if they did match, and they had said that they did, therefore, it was actually their fault that we got the wrong colors! Sorry to rant, but that was my experience...
ReplyDeleteAllison
YES to all of them, get the magazine in the mail and died over that navy zig zag, so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought anything from FLOR yet, but I am planning on it too when we move into our place. I think FLOR in your closet is a splendid idea! It will make getting dressed that much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Flor! I think its a great idea for a closet, especially if you want a girlie girl glam closet with leopard or zebra (my choices!!) - I don't think you can go wrong with it, though I have never used it...
ReplyDeleteLove the zigzag & moroccan inspired design!! I don't own FLOR but these sound like a terrific idea.
ReplyDeleteI love Flor and have been a fan of them for years. I think at least 6 years. I love the animal print. Maybe I should try for a bedroom re-design.
ReplyDeleteJen your closet is going to be fab. Congrats on your profile on House and Home...new projects are so exciting! Hope the move happens-I love to see your design choices!
ReplyDeleteI am so loving their new stuff this season, I am hoping to build a rug for our front entry way soon!
ReplyDeleteI love FLOR! I am seriously considering the animal print pattern. ♥
ReplyDeleteYay! Flor! We were considering them for our bedroom (when refinishing wasn't an option & we had a completely trashed floor). I ordered samples & we were very happy with what we saw. We ended up refinishing the floors (major circumstances changed), but I'd highly be all for Flor for a future project! :) I think it'd be a lovely luxe choice!
ReplyDeleteJENNN JEEEEEEEN were you reading my mind. I won some of these and have not claimed them yet because I dont know what to get. Thanks for the help with these images girlie.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... we're moving soon and these look like great non-committal ways to bring some punches of color in the spaces. Maybe under the dining table or in the small family room. The closets are much to small to bother with carpeting I think. I think it'd be like 3 Flor squares each. hahah.

Love the moroccan style rug! On a side note, how awesome would it be to be one of those people able to stack all your Hermes boxes as a style element :)
ReplyDeleteLove the morroccan style rug! on a side note, how awesome would it be to have enough Hermes boxes to stack them like the first image? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the zebra and in fact I love quite alot of the different styles.
ReplyDeleteI used Flor for a clients new office space and they look and wear really well, you will not be dissapointed.
I have FLOR tiles in my son's room...they are very scratchy and rough...also, they seem to suck up lint and hair and you have to use the small de-lint-er attachment for the vacuum to make sure you get them clean. So I am a bit disappointed in the texture. On the positive side, the rubber backs have left our hardwood floors safe underneath...and I have spare tiles to switch in or out in case of "accidents" (easy to install too)
ReplyDeletezig zag is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI think FLOR is so much fun, I ordered a rug from them for our entryway it it looks so great. I'll be ordering more from them sooo.
ReplyDeleteIts such a fun way to inject some color into the room with fun designs
That zig zag is awesome! I cannot wait to see this project unfold!
ReplyDeletehow do they assemble together?

I didn't know FLOR and thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI vote: Zig zag and moroccan pattern...but for the closet...no doubt: ZIG ZAG!
One day Ill have got a closet too...is my dream. Lucky you!
I love FLOR and wish they were easier to get here -

I like animal print print, but sometimes I feel like it can be too busy. But these aren't! I especially loved the leopard print! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove these - what a great idea! The zig zag is my fav!
ReplyDeleteseriously why didn't i think of this?? Such a great idea to use the FLOR tiles for a closet. I'm definitely going to steal this idea for mine :) I absolutely LOVE that zig zag one - how fun!!
ReplyDeleteI say go for it! If it's in the closet what have you got to loose, right? Besides, if the closet is good size (you did say big) then it'll be something that'll make you smile every time you walk in to pick out clothing! :) Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThe Martha tiles - Good choice!
