Although the real estate market seems to suck pretty bad here in Las Vegas, it doesn't seem to ever slow down in New York City. After looking at these pictures, I'm wondering why I'm not still there. Ok, I'm dreaming right now.... I know. But its very depressing to sellers here in Las Vegas (like myself) to not know when our market will pick up again and we'll FINALLY be able to sell our homes for a justifiable price. I own two homes here in Las Vegas and I would love to sell the one I'm renting!! But as I've mentioned, the market is sooo depressed I may have to sit still. So I guess the only thing to do for now, is wait and dream.....
*All images come from one of the coolest real estate sites about NYC. Stribling.
How's your housing market? Is it as bad as Las Vegas??
Oh how I would give anything (perhaps even one of my children) to be in Vegas. You are a lucky girl! (Just kidding about the child thing..I think...)
ReplyDeletebest of luck...and may I say these images are in my dreams as well -- you always seem to find the best looking apartments, which keeps me coming back! =)

...those windows and long hard wood floors, the light, the space -- I may just have to print out life size prints of these and wallpaper my dorm with them.
hehe LPE,
ReplyDeletePlease take my house in vegas!
jessie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment!
I love new york real estate...of course the best ones are the larger properties...where you can actually fit in the kitchen.
haha
OMG The space is so expansive, it's BEAUTIFUL. I don't even want to imagine the price tag on this one...See real estate market here in the SF bay area - holding up pretty well. Probably because the prices were so high to begin with like NY. Ridiculous.
ReplyDeletethese places look amazing! i'm just trying to figure out how much a place like this would cost!!!!
ReplyDeletei heard how crazy it is in the States right now. i now the market is so low that we Canadians are picking up vacation homes in Cali & Florida like mad.
i also wish I could be living in Nyc, but its so pricey and that would drive me nuts! But I've been there several times and really love that city.

yeah, but the problem w/new york real estate is that it's super super super super super super expensive. my boyfriend and i are hoping to move soon, but there are no teeny tiny one-bedrooms apartments for less than $3000 a month. :(
ReplyDeletei guess there are pros and cons in every city:)
Whoa! I love that you can see NYC in the reflections on the windows and in the background through the windows... although it's amazing to me that anyone can afford to live in NY in the first place, let alone in a flat large enough to house a grand piano!! A girl CAN dream, I suppose. :)
ReplyDeleteI think Venice (like NYC) will always have sky high prices. So far I haven't noticed a big difference in the going rate for houses around me. Ho Hum. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in London for a while, and the prices are ABSURD! (NOT in a good way)
ReplyDeleteI live in Kuwait now, and the prices are not as bad as London, but still skyrocketing.
wow thats amazing you live in Kuwait...wonder what its like there? : )
ReplyDeletelove the photos you posted here. who wouldn't love a view like that? we have a house in Philadelphia that may be on the market soon. I think tiny homes (like ours) are better poised for the current real estate market. But a NYC space like this is still so far out of reach.
ReplyDeleteI know what you are talking about. I have been trying to sell my house, in Va Beach. We are not having any luck either.
ReplyDeletethe thing to remember is that NY is a bizarre market. With traders making millions in a single sale, it has caused a bizarre housing market. The market here near Chicago is awful. It's a GREAT time to buy if you can sit on a property for a while. A GREAT time to buy. Much like the stock market, you never really lose any money unless you're trying to sell when the market is bad.
ReplyDeleteHold on to your homes... it will straighten out!
So.. on to more pressing issues.. I LOVE the images of the lofts and high-rise pads you features. Who doesn't love a birds eye view of the skyline? Ahh.....
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWow very nice pics, I love Interior Design those pics gave me a lot of insperations :)

I absolutely love NYC and these apartments are just gorgeous! I am so hooked on that site now and looking at the apartments. A few would be perfect for one of my cocktail parties!!
ReplyDeleteWell, in Canada we follow US trends in pretty much all things... including housing prices. Here in toronto, the real estate market is slowing a wee bit but I expect the real drop to occur in about a year's time.
