I'm currently in the process of re-designing my family room. This time around, I'll be going in a totally different direction. My goal is: less patterns all over the place & a variety of items in yellow & gold to tie things together. Let me know what you think....... & if any of you know where I can purchase a solid yellow throw cushion (similar in color to my inspiration photo) please leave a link in the comments. Wish me luck, I've got 3 items so far, just a few more to go!

ReplyDeleteHonestly why not checkout Walmart for solid colored cushions? I was just there yesterday and I think their home section has improved some ;) Or, if you have a Marshall's or TJ Max? They have cool, unique home things. Coming along great though!! Love the colors!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just took the tour of your home, I see you love yellow ! It's so fresh and inviting. If you don't find your throw pillow I'd be happy to make you one !

ReplyDeletehey you! i love love love love love this look you are going for. For the yellow pillow I think you can make it so easily and save tons of money. I just made my first pillow this weekend and posted a DIY...it was simple and turned out perfect. you could buy the white piping trim (or any other trim) and use it in place of the pom poms inthe DIY:

ReplyDeleteI love that wallpaper too...I haven't decided if i am doing the artwork or the wallpaper just yet...but it will have to go behind and over my flat screen tv..that is the only wall space available as i have a large window behind the sofa.
My boyfriend is dying for a sectional - I think we would both love the one you chose. And yellow will look great. It's such a sophisticated, cheerful color.
ReplyDeleteTAM: Yes saw those they are LOVELY! I think i am leaning toward solid yellow though or just yellow n white.
ReplyDeleteBut thank you! :)

Looks like it's going to be a great room! I love the items you've already purchased and can't wait to see how it all comes together!
ReplyDeleteJen thanks for the comment today : )
ReplyDeleteI love this room it is so bright and cheery. The "side table" takes me back to my commercial furniture days. We would call that a "box box file" and it would usually sit under a desk or in a cubicle. The silver works great in this room. Great to see it repurposed here. The ottoman fabric is fantastic as well. Looking fwd to the outcome!
this is gorgeous and the owls are adorable!
ReplyDeletei LOVE this room, and have had it bookmarked as well! im sure your room will be beautiful,
ReplyDeletedont know if anyone has already mentioned but cb2 has a few yellow pillows
