That chair in the second picture is so yummy. I love it! Any idea where I could find those lucite (?) tables that are filled with magazines in the picture. I hoard my magazines and need a pretty way of storing them. I love this idea!
These are all great pics. I especially love the plum wall color in the first photo. It's got my wheels turning - maybe I'll use a similar color for my home office.
I love that these rooms all look very lived-in, like people can flourish in these spaces. I know it sounds like a weird thing to say, but it's not fun to see rooms that look so austere to that you know no one could live in it! These have signs of personality and individual touches, which make them delighful.
I love white bookshelves lined with books. There is something about them that speaks to me.
I also loved the vases of fresh tulips in photo #11. I wish I had the time and money to keep fresh vases of flowers scattered around my house....someday...;)
Seriously lady, great finds. I literally stared at each one for more than 10 seconds. Love them and yes, I do love when images can stop you in your tracks. Cause these just did!
BTW: I am doing a giveaway on my Lovely Clusters blog and we are giving away a cami dress from Plum Pretty Sugar! http://lovelyclusters.blogspot.com/2009/08/giveaway-from-plum-pretty-sugar.html
I have to say House to Home is a great website. I just wish more UK magazines did the internet so well. We have some great mags with awful websites or no website at all.
We love the magazine too! There's still room for English 'country pile chic' in modern interior design. Do you know what the wallpaper print is in the last-but-one image?
JULIAN: It's hard to say - I'm really not sure where it is. My suggestion is to to visit several wallpaper websites & see if they have a color search, type in blue.
Hello! Your pictures are really inspiring! I love the huge antique mirrow above the fireplace which is also amazing! As a professional dealing with design I know how much details are important. Thanks a lot for inspiration! Take care, Sara
