This table is gorgeous. I hope you aren't painting the whole things white..... Usually I don't like wood but this looks so sharp with the contrasting tops!
I love the two different textures/styles ...of the really modern wood with the farm quality of design ...I think it's fab! Do you need to even paint it? But maybe the contrast of the white against the wood would look even better. i dunno ...I love it.
White is very nice, but I find that in my case I tent to paint all in white, till I tried a light grey paint, and a lovely off blue, they are so nice and goes with everything!!! Plus in LONDON there is a trend to paint a dark colors, very good option as well, but I can se you have already dark furniture so a light option would be better. Good luck with the DIY.
It's a gorgeous set. Congratulations! I think it would look great set off by a rug like this one: http://nazmiyalantiquerugs.com/product/antique-oushak-turkish-rug-43043-1930.cfm
Or this one: http://nazmiyalantiquerugs.com/product/antique-chinese-oriental-carpets-2608-2624.cfm
TO LOVE MEGAN: The reason I think I may need to paint it, is because the white is more of an off white...i think it would look fresh & bright with an actual white paint. Looks cleaner too...BUT again...I will NOT be painting the top of the table. The chunky wood top is what makes this such a BEAUTIFUL piece.
I really love the contrast of the wood and the cream too! If this were mine, I'd leave it as it is...I would definitely upholster the seats though...a fun, brilliant print...
hey jen! i love this at is is! however, to tweak it... how about hand painting or covering the chair back (it's backside) with some vintage or pop art fabric or your artwork? so front side as it is white and the back side with this idea?
Oh I love this table!
