Sometimes I dream of living in a huge LOFT.... I was sort of lucky enough to live in one when I was in NY, but it was only 700 sq ft. and wasn't in the city....boo hoo!! Anyhow, Andreas Larsson, a photographer originally from Sweden, occupies this minimalist Chicago loft featured below. (Thanks to Loft Life Magazine.) My favorite part of his place are the dark wood floors. To think this place is just a little more than a 1000 sq ft. , doesn't it look so much bigger? You can also see more of Andreas's work via his site. Andreas Larsson Photography.

ReplyDeleteWow. Now THAT is how you decorate a loft! I'm originally from Chicago and when I move back, I'm taking over his place! Love it!
ReplyDeletei love how simple and clean it all looks.

ReplyDeleteone I want to live in now is a loft with dark floors and big windows.... great post... thank you
I LOVE it! Great room!!!
ReplyDeleteThe room has a very open and clean feel. It's hard to make a room feel like it's in an open space but I feel like this was accomplished. Do the windows have blinds on them? If so then are they plain as well?
ReplyDeleteI did the bookshelf, but the bedroom looks like it could get quite cold at night! EEEEEEEEEK
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a loft. I love all the rooms open to each other. I have to agree with oneshotbeyone...that bedroom looks a little scary:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Caroline, I will stop by as soon as I get a chance...sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI love the bookself!!! I'm having a Random Act of Kindness challenge and giving away a painting this month if you're interested in taking part. Sorry if this seems like a plug, I just thought you may enjoy taking part.
ReplyDeleteNO Rob, you're not the only one...this place is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteWOW Carrie...you should post pics of your loft...even with the junk it sounds pretty darn nice!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Ashley! : )
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteI don't think all the windows have blinds...it looks like he might have left some windows just plain open. Which could mean the loft is on a high floor so no one could see into his space...Love it. It gets lots of light, which really cheers up the place.
Love it too Jennifer. So much can be done with space. Thanx.
ReplyDeleteDammit! I just drooled on my computer. Gorgeous.
