Here's a peek at some of the rooms in my home. I'm still decorating the other areas like the guest bedrooms and the master bathroom as well as my office. I'm always curious to see where others call home, so I thought I'd share mine with you. Please feel free to leave your comments.
It's been a real challenge decorating my home, being that it's very cookie-cutter in style, so I try my best to make the inside of my home reflect my personality!

Hello Jen!
ReplyDeleteYour home is so cool looking!! I really like that mirror in your bathroom as well as the quilt on the wall. Looks great, thanks for sharing.
Hi Jen! I always read your blog but never commented before.
ReplyDeleteWOW! really cool! Thanks for sharing! I think your design is very bold and you are not afraid of taking risks! I love it and I wish I could design my home like that... I am a graphic designer but I get really picky with my decoration to the point I just don't do anything until I'm 100% sure of what I want, it then takes soooo long! ...Sorry for the long comment. Your post inspired me to keep going on my home!!!
Love the wall colors! You have great taste.
ReplyDeleteAhhh you did post some pics of your place. I love your eclectic style. Very cool and sooo neat!
ReplyDeleteJen, it's so YOU! And that is FABULOUS! Not like I really "know" you... but in blogland I do... so that counts right? Great house!!!!
ReplyDeleteseriously digging your home! Such great taste and love the popping color!
ReplyDeleteThanks for opening up your home! I need you to come to Charlotte ASAP and help me decorate mine. Perhaps I need to order a LOVE print for my room! Your style is so fun and funky, yet livable! So super cute!

ReplyDeleteHi Dariela,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for reading my blog...!
Sometimes I'm afraid to take risks within my home but its just a wall or a piece of furniture for the most part. You can always change it. Also I found out that unless you do it you don't always know what it will ACTUALLY look like. Unless you design it in CAD or some other program... :) I say go for it, start with a small room like a bathroom and be a little daring...
Hiya Crystal, glad to see you back ; )
ReplyDeleteYes i remember you mentioning something about more of my home etc.. so here it is. There should be more to come...
Erika....its funny how we all correspond here in BLOGLAND as you call it...its great! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI like your bathroom. what did you use on the wall?
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the look of your living room. the coffee table, the chairs, couch, and that mirror are fantastic together.
Hey Dianna,
ReplyDeleteThe room is actually painted in a Ralph Lauren paint called " Turet Stair"
Its not black but more a dark chocolate with a hint of wine color to it. Its such a soothing color to sleep with at night.
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteWhat I have on the wall is just pieces of a New Martha Stewart scrap paper line that just came out, They sell them at Michaels craft store....and i just placed them together onto the wall to form a patchwork-like wallpaper. I purposely left the bottom undone...to give it a more unique look.
Jennifer:
ReplyDeleteYour house is so you...I love it. Lots of lovely color and your keen eye for great design really shows throughout. My favorite piece is your recently refreshed chair (in the last pic). But really, it's all yummy! Thanks for sharing.

Hi it's me again asking about the paint...I'm painting my house next week and I love the MERCER color but It's hard for me to tell...is it more like a gray or more like a dark brownish chocolatey color?? also is there a nice shade of gray you recommend for a bedroom?? Thanks love your design style!!
ReplyDeleteVALERIE325:
ReplyDeleteThe color in my office (which will no longer be the color of my office) was MERCER by Ralph Lauren Paints.
It actually had more of a forrest green undertone...but it looks like a dark gray. I thought the color was beautiful...if you like darker colors in your home. However, I would recommend MERCER in a relatively larger space - so it won't make the room look small.
As for a bedroom shade....it all depends on the size and what you like.
If you have a large room I would say it's safe to go with a darker gray, but make sure your furniture is bright and light-colored. With a darker gray, I would opt for mostly white furniture at that point to get a good contrast..
Hope this helps!

Hi Jen - Where did you get your french Provincial sofa (in main living area)? Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteANONYMOUS: I purchased it on Craigslist from some locals in my part of town...for only $125. However I had it reupholstered for $700. I am very happy with the results...Here is the post on when I re-upholstered it:
