My Domino Picks

I love Domino magazine. Who doesn't? I've been a long time fan & honestly, my wish is to be featured along with my apartment in one of their issues. Will you root for me?

But today, I wanted to ask if you were aware that Domino has a shopping section on their site?? I usually visit their shop once-a-week and am always intrigued by the the new additions. Hmmm I can totally see one of my paintings there too, what do you think? I love that they have my girl Jenna's Indian Chief prints, gorgeous!  Well, aside from dreaming, I've decided to show you my current picks from their shop.  I'm really lovin' this brass triangle stand - perfect for napkins on dining tables.

Tell me, have you shopped at Domino?

Cheetah Print Obsessed

I'm sooo fascinated with cheetah prints - I have several items in this pattern. How about you??
Heck, I have leopard print stuff too. Well, I was INSPIRED to create a painting for MADE BY GIRL for the very first time...enter: Sitting Cheetah.

I made this piece freehand with a paint brush - nothing more.  I also got inspired to add some cheetah print items along to get you in the mood for this new print. The Jerome Dreyfuss popoche clutch is one of my faves & I actually got as a gift for my Birthday!!

So, do you like cheetah print?? Would you be daring enough to wear it as a pair of pants??!?  For me, I'd do both!

Speaking of....my friend Ashlina from The Decorista blog was the first to hang the print! So awesome to see it in her office even before it was available for purchase here.  Ashlina also has our Metallic gold love print hanging in her office - you spot it?  LOVE the way she decorated the whole space - so chic, don't you think??

Check out the gorgeous gallery wall - and I also love how she displays her FAITH with a bible scripture on her inspiration board - beautiful.  Where did she buy all her pretty office items you're wondering?!?!?!?

Well, you can get Ashlina's style by visiting her blog here.

Guest Post: By Bradley Agather

Hi, readers! It's Bradley from Luella & June. I'm thrilled to be guest posting while Jen spends some time in The Big Apple. I've put together a small round up of my favorite accessories around my home. You'll see quite a mix of things here - from thrift store finds to new pieces from some of my favorite online shops! I hope you enjoy!

1: This Jim Dine painting has been with me for my entire life! Literally! It was my mom's very first piece of art that she bought for herself over 30 years ago. For as long as I can remember this painting has been hanging in my bedroom. When I moved out of my parents' house after college and into my own place, this piece had to come with me. Not only is it a constant reminder of my mother, but a feeling of home as well.

2: Another kind of art in my home: books! There's really nothing I like more than a great coffee table book. I have them displayed everywhere throughout my place. I think they bring so much character a room.

3: Oh, I love the color of this bowl! It's vintage Blenko glass. I picked this one up at Lula B's here in Dallas' design district. It's one of those places where you have to dig, but there's so many treasures in there!

4: I always get asked about these pears. They were a house warming gift from my mother (she found them at Dallas' 4510). It's these kinds of pieces that I really love because they're different and add interest to the room.

5: Does a bar count as an accessory? If so, then here's a snapshot of mine. It's always important to have your bar party ready! I especially adore this python tray from Furbish.

6: I think it's clear by now that I love color, but pink is my very favorite one of them. While I kept things a bit bolder in my living room, my bathroom channels a more girly, feminine vibe. This little tray was an Etsy find from Tilly Maison.

7: I couldn't do a post on my favorite accessories and not include my most recent one: a Cocoa & Hearts painting! I am so in love with these colors. It really ties together all of the color in my bedroom. Jen actually painted 4 paintings for me, and the others are just as wonderful as this one. I'm still figuring out just the right place to hang them so you'll have to stay tuned to see them all together in one place!

Calypso St. Barth Home Accessories....

If you're looking for interesting rugs for your home Calypso St. Barth has several beautiful selections. My favorites are the Zig Zag Jaipuri (of course) and the Pushkar Jaipuri.  I love that the Zig Zag comes in a size as large as 9"x12" - that would DEFINITELY cover a lot of space! The accessories at Calypso aren't far behind on my list, the poufs come in a few different patterns and you'll also find the COOLEST tray ever, the Workaholic Tray (designed by Olivia Song). This tray would look great just about anywhere I bet! I can see it in a bathroom with all my perfumes & hand lotions!

If you're like me and like seeing things in person....this shop is located in Soho, New York for all you New Yorkers or those visiting the NYC area!

So, tell us...have you ever shopped at Calypso? What did you buy?

Some stores don't need a whole lot of explanation. Graham and Green in the UK (of course) is one of those shops. It seems everything in their shop, I'd like to own someday! They seem to have something for every room and lets not forget their fashion section. Definitely check out their newest items for 2008, sooo B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l !!!
