Beauty: B.B. Cream

Hello everyone! So, I have to talk to you about a recent change I made in my makeup application routine: BB Cream!  I've been hearing a lot about it lately, and more & more creams seem to be popping up everywhere I turn.  I decided to give it a try a few months ago & HONESTLY, this stuff is amazing!  I don't even think there's any use for my foundation anymore! I used to buy Laura Mercier or Chanel foundations - and you know those can run anywhere between $50-75 each!

You're probably wondering, what the heck is a BB cream though?? So, it's really a "blemish/beauty balm" and it's supposed to do everything a tinted moisturizer should do, just more I guess. And it does. The one I use is Garnier's Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector.  It has full coverage, it's light, & evens out my skin tone perfectly, I don't need to use any additional products! It's super affordable, only $12.99!!! Crazy huh?

I did some Sephora searching & found the best of the best BB Creams. So, here we go!

Do you have a favorite BB Cream, or another product that you absolutely swear by??

  1. I have tried both garnier & loreal versions.
I definitely loved garniers coverage more, but I broke out (could be a coincidence.) The Loreal one goes on white (and tingles a little at first), but I loved what it did to my skin...really made my skin tone less blotchy when I wasn't wearing it.

  2. @carla: Interesting - i have acne prone skin and sensitive and the BB garnier never makes me break out.

  3. Hi Jen: After being faithful to Laura Mercier foundation for years, I tried BBs too, including samples of the Garnier, Clinique, and DrJart BBs. I'm lucky to not have acne prone skin, but it is sensitive and I never know what's going to set it off. None of them caused any congestion or flares, and I liked the feel of the Clinique best. Then I tried CC creams - and am completely sold, perhaps because I need more 'color correction' than 'blemish balm'. Right now I'm using the Olay TotalEffects7 Moisturizer + CC and LOVE it.

  6. I use the Garnier BB Cream too and LOVE it! I wear it by itself sometimes, and it seriously does wonders. Such good coverage, but not too heavy

  10. I'm going to pick up some Misha BB cream when I go to Korea for Christmas - my Korean friend said it's fantastic and not expensive. After seeing some pics, I definitely want to give it a try just to even out my skin tone. :)

  11. I have the Smashbox bb cream and the Nars tinted moisturiser; I love both but the Smashbox one is really good for a bit of coverage whereas the nars one doesn't really give any coverage at all.

  13. I normally can't wear foundation because it causes me to break out BUT with BB cream - I hardly feel like I am wearing anything! My favourite product is Marcelle's BB cream!
