New York Times.....defining gorgeous.

The New York Times always amazes me with their Home & Garden section. For example, this huge residence (once a church) in the city.....wow. Can you imagine what it's like to live there? Do you notice how you can look out the large window while in the shower? Gorgeous, barely describes it.

  9. Oh my. That bedroom. And that deck off the bedroom. And the fact that the front is such an old traditional building (a church no less!), and then there's this modern vibe inside...Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I like how the outside is quite different from the inside, but both equally lovely. It almost feels like you are opening a present. I love how minimalist and tasteful everything is. Love the open space, oh and the chandelier is such a nice contrast to the sofa (is that purple?)

    beautiful house.

'cept you have no leeway on lazy hop-out-of-your-clothes-and-leave-them-on-the-bedroom-floor days; you can see everything. tidy tidy up, houseowners.

  30. Given the volume, it will naturally look amazing and would be a great space to live in but from a design perspective, the scheme is so safe, bit ho hum in my opinion, it leaves me feeling cold, I felt the designer/owner could have pushed it futher, been a bit bolder. The furniture for instance seems to shrink and looks out of proprotion with the scale of the place. In a space like this the furniture should have as much presence as the architecture.
