Removable Wallpaper

Living in New York city can be a decorating dilemma....especially if you are renting.

You basically have to ask your leasing office or landlord for permission before you can change anything inside your apartment.  So, unless you re-arranging furniture, you need to think twice.

This applies to painting walls  -  you have to paint it back to the original color... & who wants to be painting before they move?!? Not me.

With that said, when we move into our new apartment next month, we are considering adding removable wallpaper.  I say removable wallpaper because I don't want any drywall ripping off - know what I mean?  I'm not sure how temporary wallpaper will look & hold up, but love the idea of adding a patterned wall to the entryway.  This would be ideal because we could just take it down easily without causing any damage to the walls.  I found some great resources on Etsy for removable wallpaper,  here are some of my favorites.

Which do you like?? Have you used removable wallpaper??

TEMPAPER DESIGN

Welcome back! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

Have you ever heard of Tempaper Design? How amazing are these REMOVABLE wallpapers?! I think when most people hear "wallpaper" they think of grandma's house.. but these are the total opposite! They're trendy & makes any space look chic! I already have my two favorites, the Honeycomb Deep blue & the Zee Gold!

I think these would be a great option for those who live in a smaller space such as an apartment in NYC ha! For many of us we aren't allowed to paint a wall or if we do, we have to re-paint it to the original color prior to moving! That sucks. But with these, you can just remove them when your lease is up, and your wall will be as good as new! Sounds good to me!

Remember Shay's office , with her beautiful white/gold chevron wall?? Well, you can get that look too with the "Zee Gold" wallpaper!! Pretty cool don't you think?

Oddly enough, Jesse STENCILED her living room wall with a gorgeous pattern! It looks pretty good don't you think? At first glance you'd think it was WALLPAPER right???!

Speaking of STENCIL, don't forget to enter this giveaway for a chance to win a stencil. Perfect for renters who can't place wallpaper on their walls!!

Enjoy this home tour, and thanks Jesse for sharing it here on Made By Girl.

In my quest for wallpaper, I came across some interesting looking ones from Brocade Home. They're like FOIL paper and you can slightly see your reflection in them.

IS IT JUST ME..... or do they also remind you of the 70's!?!? Looks like trends do come back.... Either way, I like them!

What do you think of these? tell tell......

Thinking About My Office....(Via Made By Girl)

Remember my old office space? Well, I'm missing it right now just a bit!  I was SO excited when I re-did it earlier this year (see pics here). At the time, it felt so great to work in a NEW space! Well, now I have another blank office to work with and this time it will be a challenge.....in many ways. Even though most of the furniture is with me, the decor is what will change.
I have some IDEAS but would love to hear your input & recommendations. Since this space doesn't accommodate the 2 Parsons desks together, this is where it will be placed.  I have a desire to place wallpaper on the wall directly in front of my desk & even though I'm contemplating an animal print paper, I'm NOT sold on it yet!!

Any thoughts on what kind of wallpaper for my wall?? Will the animal print paper work here?
Ok, DON'T LAUGH...this is just a mock-up I did super fast in Photoshop so  that I could get a clear picture of what it might look like. Ha!

Who knows..I may TOTALLY HATE this idea in a few days...I'm like that.

Maybe I should just paint a really LARGE canvas and place it over my desk...hmmmm
