I posted some pics of my boxer Darla on my instagram the other day wearing some booties from a company called Pawz. We LOVE these things for many reasons, which you'll read below.
But in addition to pawz - I also wanted to highlight some cute gifts you can get your pup for valentine's day. Nothing wrong with hooking your dog up on V-day right? YES, some of us LOVE our dogs & gifts on V-day aren't unusual. Enjoy!
This is my Darla in her pawz booties. She doesn't like them so much, I guess they feel foreign to her. However she's very & doesn't try to take them off. In fact she waits patiently for me to remove them when we get back from her walk.
These are great if you want to protect your dog's paws from all that awful salt they throw around when it's snowing. These booties also help keep your floors clean - do you have any idea how much dirt a dog's paws bring in from outside??!?! It's GROSS!!
1. harry barker safari bed
2. kiehl's cleansing spritz
3. penguin rope toy - barney's
4. locket dog collar cwonder
5. scalamandre zebra bedvia skully & skully
6. zebra bow collar via barney's
7. pawz doggie boots (great for keeping your dog's paws clean from snow salt)
8. canine styles puffer coats (Darla has one of these in orange)
I love all of these ideas! :)
ReplyDeleteThat Kiehls spray is a lifesaver!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I just bought our first house at the end of December and with the move, we decided that we would buy our dog booties to help keep the carpets clean. At first I thought he would hate them, but he won't take them off! I swear, I think he sees that mommy and daddy have shoes on, so he needs to have them too. It's so adorable, but not as cute as the booties you featured! I may have to upgrade...

I had no idea Kiehl`s made dog products! Such a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteOh this just makes me want a dog so badly! I had a golden retriever and a border collie growing up and they were such great animals! Darla is adorable, I love big dogs like her!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a dog I would totally go for that zebra bed or the leather collar... So classy! Way to show pups some Valentine's Day love!
This is perfect since Todd is my Valentine :) LOVE the pawz!

@Amberly - yup, and i do! Dogs are great, I've had them all my life, so to be without one would be odd. I bet you have great memories though! :)
ReplyDelete@ANNA: they do! this one is pretty awesome :)
ReplyDelete@katrina - that's awesome. yea, it def keeps my place clean too! These are made from rubber, i sort of like to think of them as rain boots.. :)
ReplyDeleteBut its best to remove them once you're pup is inside so his paws don't sweat.
OMG Darla is so CUTE!!! I have two Boxers: Otto and Clair and I absolutely ADORE them. I'm yet to meet a Boxer without an awesome personality-- they are such wiggle-butts!! That said, I don't think Otto or Clair would be into the booties LOL. I use Musher's Secret on their paws when it get very cold.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I have been using them on our dog because the salt hurts her paws. Great pet picks too:)
ReplyDeleteawww those things are adorable! my bro has 2 dogs I am going to send this to him hell love it. xx. gigi. food and beauty blogger @ www.gigikkitchen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAs far as those Paws go, how do you think they would work inside for keeping old dogs from slipping on floors? My girl needs a little more grip
ReplyDeleteI really love those doggie boots, they are too cute.
ReplyDelete@oleander personally I wouldn't leave them on inside. They don't recommend them for inside use since they are made from rubber...
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Kiehls made animal products! I bet my lab would love it!
ReplyDeleteI think this is the Canadian company that is helping out Buck the dog who was left for dead in Texas but has been rescued by a woman, who after posting his dilemma on facebook, got donations of over $40,000!! Buck has now had surgeries but he was shot multiple times with a buckshot and has damage to his teeth, eyes and body. Its a sad story with a happy ending - read about him here: https://www.facebook.com/Buckneedsbucks?fref=ts - on fb its 'Buck Needs Bucks for His Buckshot Injuries" you will fall in love with him!! he had on a puffer coat the other day!! ;-))
ReplyDeleteThats one cute pooch... xv

Hello!! I live in Brazil. I like your blog!I love dogs!

Aww, I love that locket dog collar! That's so cute that Darla is so patient, even with little booties on. I think my dog would do the same thing. She kinda just stands there when I try to put a little jacket on her when it's super cold, ha!
ReplyDeleteJen, im glad im not the only person in nyc who think the sidewalks are totally gross. When i put these on my dog last summer, passerbys were amused and laughing saying : " look the dog has shoes!!" It was kinda hilarious!
