Finally, Pink Nails....(Via Made By Girl)

I don't post too much about my own beauty products - but I thought this might be of interest to ladies out there who love nail polish! After being SICK for over week now- I started to feel 99% better today.... thank God!

So, in feeling better I felt I needed to treat myself to something nice, a manicure!  It had been almost 3 YEARS since I had color on my nails!!! What was I thinking?!? I'm glad I decided to dive back into the polish pool & get these hands done. Not for anything, but Polish makes me feel girly & sexy! ! Know what I mean??

I actually did this manicure myself and chose a pretty HOT pink shade by Bonita Nail polish.

I found this nail polish at Francesca's Collection (you may have this shop in your area) and it comes in a small bottle with a pretty thick & flexible brush. Get this, they're ONLY $1.50 each or 2 for $2.00!!! You only get half the amount of what you get with a standard size polish, but so what.... these are great!

I've never tried these before - but I did manage to buy 4 of them in different shades. So far, I love them! Believe it or not, I applied one coat to my nails in this picture. Neat huh?

For those of you wondering...no, they're not available online. It seems you can only get them at Francesca's. Not sure why...

Either way, lets' do some girl talk.

What's your favorite nail enamel brand? Have you tried these little Bonita Enamels yet?? Let me know & please share your source.

  5. My nail salon has their own brand of polish and it stays on FOREVER! I have also had a few Shellac maincures and they are the best. You cannot ruin your nails no matter how hard you try and it stays on for at least 14 days. It's pretty brilliant!

  22. I've never noticed polish at the store, but next time I'm there I'll grab a bottle or two! I'm completely obsessed with Francesca's...they have the best stuff (and such great prices!)

  23. First off, I love pink nail polish and I love that color! I must find it in my area. I usually wear Sally Hansen or Avon but I really like E.L.F. and at only $1, you can't really go wrong. I'm so happy that they sell it at target. I've been wearing fluorescent pink for a while. It chips fast so I just use a good top coat a few times a week.

  24. i've never tried them, but i am loving your mani! i never do my fingernails anymore with 2 little ones just not enough time for them to dry.

i do still paint my own toenails and am really into vampy colors/almost black for the summer. i feel like it makes my feet look skinnier ;)

  25. Essie in Chinchilly is my absolute favourite

How funny I have been trying to find a good color for my nails too! I always gravitate towards the dark color but I do need a lighter one for summer =) OPI always has good choices

  27. You did a great job, can you do mine? Love the color. I like Essie but Sally Hansen works also! If I like the color then I like the brand! I am so in need of a good pedi!

have you tried Butter London nail polish?? it's amazing. the colors are awesome, and it's free from carcinogens like formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP. i especially like the "yummy mummy" color and "snog". Zoya is also a great nail polish, and also natural.

I think nail polish looks divine on other women but I've never worn it myself. Anyone else in that boat?

  34. Jen! Shellack manicures are nice for a vacation- but if you get a few in a row you have to give yours nails a break in between. Butter and deborah Lippman- best colors ever.
    hope you are well! xx

  35. Hi Hun, I am happy you are better!
    The pink nails look great.
Get yourself even more pampered these days.
I also use opi, essie and zoya. my trick is to apply a lot of handcreme as possible. When you turn 60 you´ll be happy with beautifull hands. I have seen women who did and who din´t and that was a huge difference. It will be a small investment for the future

  36. Wow, how neat are you! My favorite polish is Chanel, so easy to apply and it doesn't chip or flake

  37. I would love to try this! I am a big fan of small nail polish bottles, you can pop them in your purse and use them when you have a moment, and you actually make use of it before getting sick of the color!

  38. I love Essie's colors. I have been alternating with Tart Deco (soft coral) and Turquoise & Caicos (soft teal). I've been trying to find a soft butter like yellow but am having bad luck. Chanel has a nice yellow but it's $25...little much for nailpolish ha.

  41. DALLAS: Hey girl! Thanks for clearing that up...believe it or not I had no IDEA what Shellack manicures were! If I had to guess i probably would have guessed something similar but good to know either way! :)))

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jen, Shellack rocks! You have to go to a nail salon to have it applied because it sets with ultra violet light. But, it dries in a snap and it really does last for a long time! I had it done for my bestie's wedding, cleaned the entire house 2 days before the big day, and my nails were still flawless for 2 weeks afterwards. :)

I didn't wear nail polish for ages and then I saw all these bloggers posting pics and I thought, why did I stop. You are right, it is so girly and fun. lol

  51. I'm a mani/pedi kid of girl. I really don't have a preference for a particular brand I go with the colors that grab me. Last summer my go to polish was Pandamonium Pink by OPI...it's a pinky lavender shade...liked it so much i bought 3 bottles. I recently found a Sally Hansen shade I adore...can't remember the name, but's a pale mint green...love it!
